Vanguard Academy is open 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays. The district will be closed the week of June 30th through July 7th and will return on July 14th. Our modified work scheduled will run through Friday, July 25th. We resume regular work hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, on Monday, July 28th.

Congratulations to our Rembrandt Secondary Seniors who worked diligently to complete their requirements and obtained their nationally recognized South Texas College Certified Phlebotomy Technician Certification, and to a few more that went the extra mile and also obtained their Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification. We are certain that this will be a stepping stone to a promising future for you in the medical field. Beethoven Elementary’s City Park playground, part of Vanguard Academy in Edinburg, has been named one of the “10 Best Inclusive School Playgrounds in America” for 2025 by Soliant Health, a leading education and healthcare staffing agency. The national recognition celebrates the campus’s commitment to creating a space where children of all abilities can play, learn, and interact together. The award honors playgrounds that go beyond minimum accessibility standards to provide inclusive environments designed through universal design principles, sensory-rich features, and community collaboration. “These exceptional playgrounds represent more than just accessible equipment—they embody a fundamental belief that every child deserves equal opportunities for joy, connection, and development through play,” said Lesley Slaughter, senior vice president of education at Soliant Health.
